I am fortunate to teach eighth grade at Berkshire Middle School in Birmingham, Michigan. I am a math teacher, so naturally I love pi, I can calculate a tip in under 10 seconds, and I am never without my red pen. The best thing about my job, is that it doesn’t require me to go to work. I get to go to school, instead.
My students are crazy, spirited, dramatic, exciting, passionate, and wonderful. I never cease to be amazed by they work the do, or by the effort they put in. I truly have the best job in the world.
I love to teach, partially because I love school, and partially because, if you can handle it for 180 days, middle schoolers are pretty fun to be around.
I attended Michigan State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English, with a Minor in Mathematics, for Secondary Education. I am currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Educational Technology graduate program, also through MSU. I am privileged to be spending this summer in Galway, Ireland to study.
I love the summertime, and going to football, basketball and baseball games. I am fiercely a Spartan, and proudly a third generation Spartan teacher. I love to swim, run and do yoga. My favorite thing, however, is spending time with my friends and family.
I believe there is no better way to spend my time and money then going on adventures with the people I love.
